Ra’Chel Alexander is an acrylic artist originally from North Carolina but has lived in Grand Forks since 2013 with her first local gallery exhibition being in 2016. She is an internationally recognized artist, with her work having been displayed in many national and regional shows and events as well as being featured in Forbes online magazine.

Alexander has always had a passion for art advocacy and community involvement. Beginning in 2017 she was a volunteer events coordinator for a local art event known as Alley Alive, and later went on to become the Executive Director of the Public Arts Commission in 2019. She has organized events such as ArtFest and the Mayor’s Choice Artist Showcase as well as curating the Alerus Center and Altru Professional Center galleries in Grand Forks, ND.

In 2020, she took an artistic hiatus and reentered the art scene in 2023. Since returning, her primary focus has been on rediscovering her passion for the arts and connecting with what inspires her.
